A Training Studio Built by Practitioners
We started BusinessLeap because the training our own teams needed didn’t exist. Ten years and three hundred clients later, we still design every session to solve a real business question first and print a certificate second.

Ten years of turning theory into decisions
BusinessLeap began in 2016 in a small studio a short walk from the Tanjong Pagar MRT interchange. Our founding facilitators had spent the previous decade inside banks, statutory boards and Southeast Asian growth companies. Everywhere they went, they saw the same gap: brilliant technical people who could not persuade non-specialist colleagues, and executive teams who wanted to talk about strategy but ended up rearranging spreadsheets.
We set out to design short, evidence-based programmes that closed that gap. From the first cohort our promise has been the same: every session must translate an economic idea into a decision that will be different, and demonstrably better, the following Monday morning. That focus — on decisions, not on completion — still shapes every syllabus we write today.
Ten years on, we work with fintech scale-ups, listed retailers, manufacturing groups and government agencies across the region. We remain intentionally small: a core faculty of nine, backed by a rotating bench of senior industry advisors. Small keeps us honest. Every programme is designed and taught by people who still practise, so what we teach is grounded in the world our clients actually work in.
Six principles guide every engagement
They are not slogans on a wall — they are how we decide who to work with, what to teach and when to say no.
Rigour before flourish
Every framework we teach is anchored in peer-reviewed research or independently reproducible data. Style is a bonus, not a substitute for substance.
Time is a resource
We keep programmes short and dense. If a lesson can be shorter, it will be. Clients pay in time as well as fees.
Practical over performative
Every session produces something you can put on your desk on Monday: a template, a script, a checklist, a one-page brief.
Small classes, real feedback
Cohorts are capped so instructors know every participant by name. Written feedback goes to every learner within one week.
Confidentiality without exception
Client materials never leave our studio. Case stories on this site are always anonymised and reviewed before publication.
Grounded in Southeast Asia
Our cases, data and instructors are regional. Frameworks translate, but examples land better when they are local.
Small team, careful process
We do not run large corporate rosters or franchise our syllabus. Every enquiry lands with our lead facilitator, who replies within one working day. If we’re a good fit, we build a short proposal outlining the outcome you want, the shape of the programme and a fair Singapore-based quote.
Delivery is always led by a member of our core faculty, supported by a senior industry advisor drawn from our rotating bench. Materials are printed in our studio, portal access is provisioned on the same day training begins, and every participant receives thirty days of instructor email support after the programme ends.
We also run a small pro-bono track. Once a quarter we release two seats on our public programmes at no cost to non-profit professionals who are unable to secure employer sponsorship. Get in touch if you’d like to nominate someone.
